Srikurmam is a unique famous temple in the world situated at a distance of about 15 to 18 kms to the southeast of Srikakulam town. The village Srikurmam derives of its name from the temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the Avathara of Srikurmam viz., the Avathara of a tortoise, and hence the deity is called Srikurmanatha. The temple is of very great sanctity, being the only important temple to Lord Vishnu in the Kurmavathara in the whole of India. Srinivasa Mangapuram is a small village near Tirupathi. Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple is located in this village. Legends say that Lord Venkateswara after his marriage with Godess Padmavathi stayed here for some time before preceding to Tirumala, as per Hindu customs newly married couples are not supposed to climb hills, such devotees can have darshan of Lord at this temple and attain moksh.
It is also said that individuals having trouble getting into wedlock can pray here and get rid of troubles. Kalyana Utsavam to the Lord is performed here every day. Devotees get rid of their troubles by attending this ritual. At the end of ritual the Priest ties kankana (Yellow thread) to the right hand of the Devotee.

Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy annual brahmostsavams are conducted every year at the main temple. Giri Pradakshana (Konda Chuttu Thirunallu) is the important festival conducted during the end of Sankranthi, once a year, with the utsava murthis of Sri Parasareswaraswami and Sri Champakavalli Ammavaru, and Sri Agastheeswaraswami and Sri Markathavalli Ammavaru.

Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy and Kamakshi Thai temple is located about 12 kms from Nellore in Jonnawada village on the banks of river Penna. A Sri Chakram installed by Jagadguru Sankaracharya is very famous here. Pilgrims take a dip in the holy lake Kashyapa Theertham, known to wash away all bad karma.
Every year, numerous pilgrims visit the temple during brahmotsavam in the Telugu month of Vaisakha. You can also see people suffering from evil spirits coming here to find salvation.

The village is part of Buchireddipalem Mandal. In Tretayuga Mahamuni Kasyapa Brahma performed yagna and pleased Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy thus this place is named as ‘Yagnavatika Jonnawada’. Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Kamakhsi tai grant to the innumerable devotes their desires, as their God head. This temple is constructed in the year 1150 (Tretayuga). There is bus service from Nellore to Jonnawada. For the convenience of the pilgrims there are choultries of the Devastanam and TTD and also private choultries. Every year, during the celebration of Brahmstsavam in the month of Vaisaka, Lakhs of devotees throng the holy centre to worship the goddess to attain salvation and Friday is the day very dear to Kamakshitai. One can find persons, persecuted by evil spirits, circumambulating in the temple precinct. A bathing ghat has been built on the bank of the Penna, for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Kukke Subrahmanya is situated in a picturesque surrounding at the feet of Western Ghats in the Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka State. The Subrahmanya Temple is one of the famous and richest temples of South India. This place is directly connected by road from Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Udupi, Dharmasthala and other places. It is surrounded by Kodagu district in the east, Puttur Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in the west, Sakleshpur of Hassan district in the north, and Sullia, the Taluk headquarter in south. Subramanya used to be called as Kukke Pattana in the past. In the 'Shankara Vijaya' Anandagiri observes that Sri Shankaracharya camped here for a few days during his religious expedition (Digvijaya). Shankaracharya referred to this place as 'Bhaje Kukke Lingam' in his 'Subrahmanya Bhujangaprayata Stotram'.

Sri Subrahmanya kshetra has been brilliantly described in the 'Thirthakshetra Mahimani purana' chapter of the Sahyadri khanda comprised in the SanatkumaraSamhita of Skanda Purana. This kshetra is situated in the banks of the river 'Dhara' which originates in the Kumara Mountain and proceeds to the western sea.
